Sam has been using the potty periodically now! At the end of August he peed and then that weekend at the cottage- Sept 3- he had a big poop in the potty!! Exciting stuff. He has pooped a little bit since and peed lots but we haven't been consistent in getting him to sit on it...we should start because I think he is ready- he is 28 months. I bought him some big boy underwear and put them on him for fun- so cute!!!
He has been having some behavioural problems lately...hitting and pushing mainly. His caregivers at Daycare in the crayon room- Shauna and Wendy have said they put him in timeouts and he apologizes but then he does it again. We don't let him get away with anything at home but he is not around other kids so it's hard to stop behaviour we don't see. We just keep putting him in timeouts when necessary and praising his good listening skills and manners when we see them!
Sam doesn't like to wear anything but crocs in daycare...apparently he takes his shoes an socks off everyday and wants to wear everyone else's crocs so I got him a pair and now he keeps them on! So funny how he has preferences for things. His language development is unreal...he talked and talked over supper and made total sense...it's amazing watching his development. He loves doing somersaults on the carpet...and loves to dance!
We just bought him his first gold set...driver, putter and 5 iron...powerbilt....he loves playing golf and watching it on TV...but so far when he doesn't see results with the new clubs he throws them on the ground and says :don't like 'em" I am sure it will get better. He has also been doing a drop kick with a soccer ball and is quite good at it...he's been doing it for a couple of months...he drops the ball and kicks it pretty far before it hits the ground. He still loves his basketball- especially going slam dunks...Thor taught him to grab the rim and let it flick back...so he will shoot the ball in and then after he will grab the rim---too funny. He loves sports so it will be neat to see which one he choses.
